Steak and Ale Pie
Steak and Ale Pie
Organic British beef from a local West Sussex estate - the Goodwood Estate - is hand-cut and slow-cooked until beautifully tender in the rich, dark tones of Hampshire’s Flowerpots Cheriton Porter Ale. We deepen the flavour further with the unique spice of Henderson’s Relish for a proper pub-style gravy with character.
Freshly handmade and baked in small batches in West Sussex, then blast-chilled and despatched chilled for perfect freshness at home. Wrapped in our signature butter-rich shortcrust pastry - never puff lids, never margarine - it bakes to a deep, golden finish.
Hearty, indulgent and full of warmth - comfort food at its finest.

I am very sorry to write a bad review as the pies are absolutely fabulous. Unfortunately I have been let down badly by their customer service. Ordered my pies 28/10, courier company held them at their depot for a few days then returned them to Mud (not Muds fault). I was assured on 3/11 replacements would be sent. On 6/11 I had a very apologetic email from Christian offering a free pie, a discount code and the assurance that I would receive notification my pies had been dispatched within 24 hours. No notification, no pies. I have sent two more emails and a message on Facebook Messenger but sadly no one has been in touch. I would really love to receive my pies but am starting to give up hope.
We had the steak and ale pie, for dinner yesterday and it was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be part of next order.
We had a steak and kidney last night tasted amazing great chunks of both meats with a rich flavour, thank you Mud Pies ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Pie was a little smaller than I was expecting, however the Buttery taste of the pastry was nice. There was some sizeable meat pieces in the filling which could have been a little more. It sound as if I am moaning here, but no the pie was one of the best I have had for a while. I will definitely be back for more.
I had one for my tea on Friday, absolutely delicious 😋
