Delicious Lamb, Redcurrant and Rosemary Pies delivered to your door

Most would use minced lamb, but Mud is a cut above the rest; we only use chunks of lean hand-cut lamb, which is of such high quality we don't want to add contrasting flavours that may detract from the exquisite flavour of this expensive meat. Quarter moons of red onion are gently fried with garlic and rosemary until golden brown and crisp, which brings out their sweet, caramelised flavours.

The lamb is quickly seared and the pan deglazed with oodles of red wine followed by our natural stock, a bit of seasoning, and a short simmer of 60 minutes until the meat is cooked to succulent perfection. Our lamb pie marries perfectly with buttery mashed potato, which enhances the sweet and piquant gravy.

“Without a shadow of a doubt, some of the nicest pies I’ve ever eaten – not stupidly priced and loaded with filling (although the pastry is amazing anyway!). The lamb was chunks of solid meat whereas plenty of other pies would use fatty cuts – absolutely amazing!”Dan R, Dudley, West Midlands

Great tasting.

Loved this pie, not your usual filling but tasty. We had several flavours and I felt this was the best. Loads of filling flavoursome and pastry light but tasty

Thank you, I'm thrilled you enjoyed it - the lamb, redcurrant and rosemary filling is a favourite of our office administrator too. We make a lot of effort to get things right and it is great to be appreciated.

A delicious pie which could do with a little more meat

A delicious pie which could do with a little more meat. The pastry was excellent as usual despite the top of my pie was badly broken.

Thank you Roger, I'm sorry to hear the top of your pie was broken - but hopefully this did not detract from the overall experience. It's good to hear the pastry is on par as usual though.

Lid separated from base.

I have not had the pie yet BUT was disappointed to find that the lid had separated from the main part of the pie.
This has happened before (with a different pie) + can be quite frustrating.

Thank you, I'm gutted to hear this - this can happen for any number of reasons, possibly in transit or as a result of the manufacturing process as every pie is topped by hand. We are always keen to identify these issues to improve our process.
