How your pies stay cold on the way
A pie that arrives cold, intact and on time is as much a part of the job as making it properly in the first place. Here's what actually happens once your order is packed.
Ice packs and double insulation
Every order travels with proper ice packs, wrapped in double bubble insulation lining — not the single layer most places use. That keeps your pies chilled for around 48 hours in transit. On a very hot day it's a little less, so we build that into how we plan dispatch.
Double-strength cardboard
The boxes are built specifically so they don't collapse under the weight of a stacked delivery van. It sounds like a small thing until you've seen what a flimsy box does to a pie by the time it arrives. The Mud Pie Chart is printed on the lid — the first thing you see before you even open it.
Fastest tracked service
Orders go out on the fastest tracked service available, with tracking sent to you so you know when to expect the box. Most orders arrive within 4 working days, and often sooner.
Timing your order
Order Monday to Thursday for the quickest arrival
We send pies by courier, which means deliveries don't usually land on Saturdays, Sundays or Mondays. If you're in a hurry, ordering earlier in the week is genuinely your safest bet.
Deliveries do not usually arrive on Saturdays, Sundays or Mondays. Ordering Monday–Thursday gives your pies the shortest, coldest journey.

Our minimum order for delivery is £25. This is what it costs us to get a chilled box to you in perfect condition. Spend £45 or more and we cover the delivery entirely.
Where we deliver
Most of mainland UK
We deliver across the vast majority of mainland UK. Because we're sending fresh chilled food, there are some areas we can't reach quickly enough for the pies to arrive in perfect condition — so we'd rather not send at all than send something that won't be right.

Delivery questions, answered
How long will my pies take to arrive?
Normally within 4 working days, and often quicker. You'll get tracking so you know exactly when the box is due.
Will my pies still be cold when they arrive?
Yes. Every box travels with ice packs and double bubble insulation lining, which keeps the pies chilled for around 48 hours in transit. On very hot days that window is shorter, so we factor it into when we dispatch.
What if I'm not home when it arrives?
The insulated packaging is designed to hold temperature for around 48 hours, so a box left in a safe place for a few hours will be fine. Add delivery instructions at checkout and the courier will follow them.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes — £25. Below that we can't get a properly chilled box to you at a sensible cost. Orders of £45 and over include free delivery.
Can I choose my delivery day?
We don't offer date selection at checkout. Deliveries don't usually arrive on Saturdays, Sundays or Mondays, so ordering Monday to Thursday gives you the fastest arrival.
Can I freeze the pies when they arrive?
Yes. Our pies freeze well, which is why the 6 and 12-pie boxes are so popular — order once, eat across the month.
